Cali, Colombia – Street-Art-Special
As some of you might have noticed, I’m kind of a street art fan. The fact that I usually try to explore new cities on foot and my strange talent to find funky neighbourhoods, leads to me encountering huge amounts of graffities and various other forms of street art. I started to notice graffities after watching “Exit through the giftshop”, a documentary about a few guys who got more or less famous. If I find really great stuff I usually try to capture it with my camera or iPhone and sometimes share it on twitter or sneak it into the posts on this blog. The amount of street art I found in Cali was so overwhelming, that I had to make a special post for all the different kind of graffities, stickers and posters you can find here.
You’ll see art (for the sake of art), political opinions and protests, PR, social criticism, etc. Some of the pieces were probably illegally made, others were paid for or at least tolerated.
